I have been providing individual therapy in a variety of capacities for over ten years. I provide trauma-informed care and utilize several different evidence-based interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. My approach to therapy is profoundly influenced by the empirical fact that therapeutic alliance is the single most important indicator of change and success, regardless of the specific tools used. Therefore, I am committed to providing a space that is free of judgment and full of hope. I put great emphasis on consistency, authenticity, honesty, and validation. I strive to provide therapeutic support by paying particular attention to the details of each individual’s story in the context of their environment and with the commitment to accomplishing a shared goal. I firmly believe in every person’s capacity for change and seek to assist individuals to identify and then build upon existing strengths while also addressing and resolving identified barriers.

I work with both adolescents and adults with substance abuse issues, gender and/or sexual identity issues, Major Depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Problematic Sexual Behavior, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
